On 9 July, we partnered with Avène to host a very special evening of connection, skincare education and community. Held in Auckland, this event brought together women from across our Dear Community to share in an experience that was thoughtful, informative and genuinely empowering.
From the moment our guests arrived, the space reflected the essence of what we stand for – warmth, inclusion and beauty in simplicity. With fresh flowers, a large mirror for photos, a vibrant grazing table of seasonal fruit and cheese, and drinks served on arrival, the scene was set for a relaxed yet intentional gathering.
Sharing the Science of Skincare
Our panel talk was led by Niamh Vercoe, who guided a meaningful conversation with Sarah, a skincare specialist, and Samantha Richards, a long-time partner of Avène. Together, they explored the science behind Avène’s thermal spring water, the brand’s French roots, and how targeted skincare can support sensitive and reactive skin types.
Attendees learned about the importance of skin health, how environment and lifestyle influence our skin, and why understanding product ingredients matters. The conversation was rooted in real experience, not marketing, which made it resonate deeply with everyone in the room.

Following the panel, our guests had the chance to speak one-on-one with Sarah for personalised skincare consultations.
