Kia Ora, I’m Maya. I studied Psychology at Portland State University and recently completed some postgrad study at the University of Canterbury. These days I’m based in my hometown of New Plymouth, where I’m lucky to do meaningful work as a career and wellbeing practitioner.

I came along to a Dear Community event after moving back - most of my friends off on OEs, placements, or still studying - and it reminded me how needed spaces like this are.
I’m excited to help create that space for others too, through good kōrero and good books.

When I’m not working or reading, I’m usually out running, playing piano, chilling with my twin sister, or catching up with mates.
