Dear Community is pleased to bring you our first ever South Island Camp this March. A weekend getaway in the beautiful wine region of Waipara, this weekend is not one to miss. Taking place from the 21st of March to the 23rd, at Waipara Adventure Centre, this getaway is a time of being outdoors, meeting new women, and of course trying some delicious wine.

We found that sometimes in order for us to deepen relationships, a one hour activity isn't enough - hence why we wanted to create a weekend getaway where women had the opportunity to really get to know each other.

A personalised experience from the moment you sign up, our attendees will fill out a Google form before arrival. This will help us in assigning you to a cabin with other like-minded women who share your values and interests. During the camp, you'll be encouraged to grow these relationships further through our ice breaker games, quiz evening and daily activities. Through the use of facilitated conversations, you'll be close to your roomies in no time.

On Saturday morning, get ready to achieve your 2025 financial goals, with Hannah Koumakis sharing her top budgeting tips and tricks. Owning multiple businesses, and beginning her entrepreneurial journey at 7 years old selling budgies, (yes the bird) she will talk on all things money management, savings, different bank accounts. gross vs net pay. Everything you need to know to get set up for 2025. It's definitely a talk you won't want to miss.

Saturday afternoon will be spent exploring some of Waipara’s best wineries, with an exclusive Dear Community wine tour. Be sure to bring out your best dress, as we all get ready together to embark on a really fun afternoon, of tasting delicious wines from three different wineries at George Road, Grey Stone and Torlesse Wineries. The perfect afternoon will be completed with the perfect movie evening, where pjs are mandatory.

Sunday will be spent making the most of the Waipara Grounds as we enjoy all that Waipara Adventure Centre has to offer with our carefully curated schedule combining both a focus on planned activities and free time to explore their grounds. From painting and kayaking sessions, to water hole and river walks, your time will be spent getting to know the girls in attendance while enjoying the last few days of New Zealand summer.

Just like school camps, we need every attendee to bring baking. While all main meals are catered for, morning tea and afternoon tea will be the baking brought in by our campers. To opt out of bringing baking, a $15 charge applies allowing us to drive into town to purchase baking on your behalf. On the Google Form that will be sent to you prior, you will have the choice to either opt out and pay $15, or bring baking. If you want to opt out, you will receive payment details following this.

As adults, opportunities to attend 'camps' are actually quite rare. Our hope is you leave this camp feeling inspired and empowered, with new friends, and a new zest for life. With goodie bags, spot prizes and lots of delicious food, this camp is not one you want to miss.
