DEPOSIT OPTION

How the Deposit Works:

This deposit secures your spot at the Finlay Park Camp. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable  

- Ticket Price: The full ticket price is $399. If you wish to pay in full, please (click here).   
- Deposit Option: Pay a deposit of $99 now and the remaining balance of $339 by March 1st,
- Total Cost with Deposit Option: $438 (includes an administrative fee).  

Important Details:
1. If the remaining balance is not paid by February 1st, your spot will be forfeited.  
2. Deposits are strictly non-refundable.  
3. After paying the deposit, you will receive an email with bank transfer details for the remaining amount. Please pay this before February 1st.   
   - Use your order number as the reference code.  
   - Email a confirmation of payment once the transfer is complete.  
   - Failure to provide payment confirmation will result in forfeiture of your spot.

Transport: You will need to find your own way to the retreat, however we will sned over a list of attendees emails in an area near you, where you can organise to carpool with someone nearby. This is up to the attendees responsibility - Dear Community is not held liable.

Back by popular demand, the Ultimate Summer Adventure Camp by Dear Community returns in March 2026.
Hosted at the popular campground, Finlay Park in Cambridge, this camp is all about fostering new connections, while partaking in nostalgic activities we haven't enjoyed since childhood.
From the 20th to the 22nd of March, join us for an activity-packed weekend designed to give you a break from the busy world — all in a phone-free environment.
From adventurous activities like kayaking and paddleboarding to meditative practices such as guided journaling and Pilates, the Ultimate Summer Adventure Camp truly has something for everyone.
Because the camp takes place over a weekend, it allows space for in-depth connections and even long-lasting friendships.
In the lead-up to the event, you’ll complete a Google Form that helps us assign you to a cabin with other like-minded women who share your values and interests — ensuring a personalised experience right from the start.
You’ll also be placed into a group with other women with whom you’ll participate in activities.
During the camp, you’ll have the chance to grow these relationships through icebreaker games, a quiz evening, and daily activities.
Finlay Park is known for offering a full array of land and water activities, so it’s only right that we make the most of them. From kayaking and paddleboarding to water slides and paintball, there’s no better way to spend a Kiwi summer.
In the evenings, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a guided boat tour of the New Zealand glow worms, take part in a movie night, and join a friendly sports competition. For those who appreciate downtime, our carefully curated schedule also gives you space to slow down and enjoy the grounds, swim in the pool or spa, or spend time chatting with new friends.
Just like school camps, we ask that attendees bring baking. While all main meals are catered for, morning and afternoon tea will be the baking brought by our campers. To opt out of bringing baking, a $15 charge applies, allowing us to purchase baking on your behalf. On the Google Form sent prior to the event, you’ll have the option to either bring baking or opt out and pay the $15. If you choose to opt out, you’ll receive payment details afterwards.
Our retreat is unplugged, with the single rule of leaving all phones in the cabins. This shift from the digital world to mindful presence is central to this event — and often one of attendees’ favourite parts. Situated alongside the Waikato River, your downtime could be spent sunbathing, swimming laps in the pool, or giving it your all on the beach volleyball courts.
Tickets are priced at $399 per person, which includes accommodation, meals, activities, an amazing goodie bag, and full use of all facilities for the duration of the retreat. Our team can connect you with other attendees nearby if you’d like to carpool to Finlay Park.
As adults, opportunities to attend “camps” are surprisingly rare. Our hope is that you leave feeling inspired, empowered, and recharged - with new friends and a renewed zest for life.

Your contribution not only secures your spot at the event but, more importantly, funds our ability to host events across the country. Our mission is to extend the reach of Dear Community across New Zealand, and your donation plays a crucial role in making this vision a reality. We rely on these donations to pay our charity overheads, such as leader tickets, accounting, salaries, lawyers, subscriptions, designs and so much more. As a non-profit organisation and due to the nature of donations, refunds are not possible. We appreciate your understanding and support in making our community-building initiatives possible.
