Event: Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins
Date: Wednesday October 28th
Time: 6:30pm
Location: Coffee Culture Claudelands
Leader: Kaylé Vosloo
About:
If you’ve ever wondered what made Haymitch the way he is, Sunrise on the Reaping is about to answer that question—and probably break your heart in the process. 🔥
Set during the 50th Hunger Games, the book follows a young Haymitch Abernathy after his name is called for the second Quarter Quell. With twice as many tributes entering the arena, he’s thrown into an even more brutal version of the Games we already know. But as Haymitch begins to understand what’s really happening around him, he realises that surviving might not be enough.
This one is tense, emotional and full of moments that completely change how you see Haymitch and the original series. Come along for a cosy evening of book chat, shared theories and plenty of Hunger Games opinions with the girls! 🏹📚
