Time: 6.30pm

Location: Wintec: Bill Gallagher Building

Leader: Hannah Hart

Presented by Dear Community x Simplicity

Money is something we use every single day, yet most of us were never actually taught how to manage it.

Whether you're trying to get on top of your spending, save for your first home, understand KiwiSaver, or finally learn what investing actually means, this event is designed to give you the confidence and practical tools to take control of your financial future.

We've partnered with Simplicity, New Zealand's nonprofit, low-fee KiwiSaver and investment fund provider, to bring you an inspiring and educational evening where we'll break down personal finance in a way that actually makes sense.

Forget complicated jargon and intimidating spreadsheets. This is real, practical money advice for everyday women.

Join us on Thursday 17th September 2026 at the Bill Gallagher building for an evening of learning, connection and empowerment. Enjoy a light dinner from Sals Pizza, drinks from Clean Collective, and leave feeling confident about your next financial steps.

What we'll cover:

  • Budgeting that actually works
  • Creating healthy money habits
  • Money mindset and financial confidence
  • KiwiSaver explained
  • Investing made simple
  • Shares and long-term wealth building
  • Saving for future goals
  • Practical tips and live Q&A

Meet our speakers

Jennie leads Simplicity's financial education programme, bringing together her background in communications, education and the nonprofit sector across New Zealand and the UK. She's passionate about helping Kiwis become more confident with money and making personal finance accessible to everyone.

Litia Segerstrom -  Litia is a wife, mum of two, and property investor who is passionate about creating a life of freedom and purpose for her family. Litia believes financial freedom isn’t just about money—it’s about creating more choices, more opportunities, and a legacy that can positively impact future generations.
