Ever wanted to give tennis a go but can’t commit to a full course? Now’s your chance to jump on court, give it a try, and see if tennis is for you with the Hype Tennis team!

This session is perfect for a range of abilities. Whether you’re completely new to tennis or already have some experience, there’ll be a mix of skill levels on the court, so everyone is welcome.

Join us for an hour-long coaching session at Torbay Tennis Club, followed by a walk along Long Bay Beach. With an Oat Protein Drink in hand thanks to Shnack, some good yaps and hopefully some new friends — what more could you ask for?

You’ll be coached by the talented team from Hype Tennis, including Jason Hart (@hypetennisnz), Coach of the Year, alongside Michail Hobbs.

Jason is usually fully booked throughout the year, so this is a great opportunity for the Dear Community girls to experience his coaching, meet the Hype Tennis team, and see if you’d like to continue with lessons afterwards.

Please bring your own tennis racket if you have one. The coaches will have a limited number of spare rackets available if needed.

Ticket Policy

Please note that you will receive an email from the event leader 24–48 hours beforehand with additional information. If you have not received this email at least 12 hours before the event, please contact us.

All events are exclusively for women aged 18-35.

Tickets are non-refundable.

Please note, we will be taking photos and videos throughout the event.

If you can’t attend, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice so we can offer your spot to someone else. Failure to do so may result in restrictions on future ticket purchases.
